American artist Lisa Houck (b. 1953) expresses her view of nature through wild and vibrant paintings, ceramics, prints, and mosaics. The birds, bugs, beasts, and blossoms that appear in her bright watercolors and oil paintings seem to be curling, swirling, twirling, and unfurling. Big things seem small and small things seem big in Houck’s paintings, where a tulip or a flowerpot might easily dwarf a tiny house. Her critters and flowers stickers all come from larger artworks; they hold up on their own, or can be grouped together for your own composition.
