Peruvian Patterns Scarf

Regular price $135.00

The bold, geometric design on our unisex scarf is derived from a gorgeous cotton and camelid hair cloth fragment (5th–2nd century B.C.) in The Met collection. The textile artisans of ancient Peru had an inordinate sensitivity to the complexities of structure, pattern, and color. Particularly striking are ancient textiles discovered on the Paracas Peninsula. Encompassing an impressive stylistic breadth, they exhibit compelling designs in rich, imaginatively combined colors.
