Fiona Tan: Rise and Fall

Regular price $39.99

Since the 1990s, Fiona Tan has attracted the attention of the international art community through her inventive video and film installations that address the formation of individual and collective identity and the processes of representation. Her practice explores notions of identity and belonging in a world increasingly shaped by global culture and the histories and journeys that form it. Fiona Tan: Rise and Fall highlights the artist’s work from the early and mid-2000s, including a video installation commissioned by the Vancouver Art Gallery.

This catalogue was published on the occasion of a touring exhibition co-organized by the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Aargauer Kunsthaus, curated by Bruce Grenville and presented from May 8 to September 6, 2010.
