Since receiving international acclaim in the mid-1980s for his portraits of Italian aristocratic families, Paris-born Patrick Faigenbaum has situated his work within the heart of the pictorial tradition, emphasizing the expressive power of photography and its position within art history. Featuring 54 of the artist’s photographs taken since the 1970s, this stunning publication also contains an introduction by acclaimed Vancouver photographer Jeff Wall.

Patrick Faigenbaum was published to accompany the first major presentation of the artist’s work in Canada, organized by the Vancouver Art Gallery, curated by Director Kathleen S. Bartels and artist Jeff Wall, and presented from March 9 to June 2, 2013.
